Good design should be able to truly integrate into life. Not only should it have a textured appearance and a good grip, durability and grinding accuracy are also the basis of a hand grinder.

1Zpresso's Z-Pro Series Hand Grinders feature a patented direct-adjustable outer dial design that allows the hand grinder to achieve quick, intuitive adjustments similar to those of an electric grinder. The first product in the series, Z-Pro, won the German Red Dot Design Award in 2018. With this honor, the Z series gradually received widespread attention and support, and was quickly sold out within a year, becoming a hard-to-find item on the market.

The German Red Dot Design Award is known as the "Oscar of the design world." It was founded by the famous German Design Association in 1955 and attracts tens of thousands of works from more than 60 countries every year. The winning works will be exhibited in the Red Dot Museum in Essen, Germany.

To commemorate this important moment, in 2019, 1Zpresso launched the new generation Z-Pro 1Zpresso ZP6 limited edition. The ZP6 is designed for hand brewed coffee users. It has a six-core large blade disc developed for the requirements of extremely small amounts of micropowder. It adopts three-axis fixing technology to solve the problem of instantaneous displacement of the blade under large torque, ensuring uniform and stable crushing. The bean hopper has a capacity of 30 to 35 grams and is designed for personal hand-poured coffee. The body is made of high-quality metal construction, weighs 700 grams, feels heavy, and the wooden manual ball is comfortable to hold and easy to operate. It’s available in classic silver and iron grey to match its premium construction, and features a sleek, minimalist design that adds to the overall feel.

In 2022, in response to user demand, ZP6 Special was re-launched. Its uniqueness lies in that it can produce less fine powder and coarse powder, the ground coffee powder is cleaner and more complex, the extraction rate is improved, the brewed coffee is clear and transparent, and the natural flavor of the coffee beans is better highlighted. The ZP6 Special excels in pour-over and other manual brewing methods, offering a range of grind sizes perfect for light roasts, which aren’t just about acidity, sweetness or strength, but about the complexity and nuances of the coffee itself.

With so many 1Zpresso models available in the market, choosing the right hand grinder becomes difficult. The variety of features and specs can be confusing, but the real question is: is this grinder the right one for your specific brewing needs? Can you add complexity and clarity to your pour-over coffee? Is it adaptable enough to different coffee making methods? Most importantly, is its performance worth the price?

Value depends on coffee preference and brewing method.
ZP6 Special excels in providing the complexity and clarity required for light roasted coffee. It is particularly suitable for drip coffee, hand brewed coffee, moka pot and AeroPress of light roasted coffee (such as bright and fruity coffee beans such as Ethiopia, Rwanda, Colombia, etc.), with excellent value for money. But the ZP6 Special is not suitable for espresso because its grind range and cutter design are not suitable for the needs of espresso.

The coffee grinder has a decisive influence on the flavor of coffee, allowing the taster to directly feel the terroir and the farmer's labor. Whether it's floral, fruity or rich tropical, a good coffee grinder can grind coffee that's closest to the true flavor of the coffee beans.

With the increasing number of boutique coffee lovers in Taiwan, in order to enable more coffee beginners to own their first hand-cranked grinder at a reasonable price, 1Zpresso launched the 1z-Q2 s entry-level small hand-cranked grinder. The Q2 s is smaller than a can of drink and weighs only 475 grams. It has a similar basic design, but with a seven-core blade, a smaller grip, and a bendable handle, making it perfect for those with smaller hands.
