"Photography Theory" The feelings we want to express

The interesting thing about photography is that it gives people room for imagination. Just like movies and novels, everyone can freely use their imagination to fill in the details and make the feelings they get from them more profound.

In photography, the blank space, techniques, tones, and composition of the narrative can all be left to the audience’s imagination. In an atmosphere without language, text or sound, there are always unfinished answers and endless questions, attracting the audience to explore more stories.

Perhaps photos cannot be explained clearly in words or text, but as long as you believe in your inner feelings, you will be able to capture different scenery.

In an age flooded with images, every photo on the Internet is exquisite. How can we make photos show different effects? The answer lies in the motivation behind the camera.

What do you want to say through the photos, what stories do you want to convey, what do you want people to see, what effect do you want to achieve through the photos, what mood do you want to express, what moments do you want to record.

Regardless of the different categories such as business, art, record, news, current affairs, fashion, events, wedding banquets, hobbies, portraits, etc.;

Everything stems from the motivation to press the shutter button. As long as you establish the motivation, the image you take will definitely be similar to what you have in mind. However, if you don’t have a clear motivation for shooting, the result will often be unsatisfactory.

"Photos worth appreciating over and over again." This is the scene that we photography enthusiasts want to pursue.

"Photograph" is also called "寫真", which is to record the real moment;

"Photos" are flat, static, and framed;

The different usage contexts of "photo" will affect our interpretation of it;

A "photograph" is the process of taking the world in front of the camera into the picture.

"Photographs" are finished products produced through mechanics, physics, chemistry, electronics, etc.;

A “photograph” can be a work of art or worthless;

"Photos" are the images that people want to express through cameras.

From this, we can see that other than "writing down the real moments" and "the pictures people want to express", other items are meaningless to the audience.

Based on my many years of professional photography experience, I can tell you one definite fact.

"Equipment is just an auxiliary tool. If you want to take a good photo, besides luck, the photographer's mentality determines everything."

You don’t have to worry about whether the equipment is professional or not. Even if you only use a smartphone, you can take touching photos.
