Polène Paris, a French brand with low-key fashion, strikes a balance between classic French luxury and youthful vitality

Polène is a premium leather brand from Paris, France, founded in 2016 by siblings Elsa, Mathieu and Antoine Mothay. It has entered the fashion circle with its reasonable price, playful shape and functionality. Its biggest advantages over other products on the market are durability and price.

Polène leathers are sourced from certified tanneries in Spain and Italy, and production is entrusted to artisans in the Spanish town of Ubrique, who specialize in luxury leather goods and apply their craftsmanship to create unique and iconic products. Inspired by Paris, the collection conveys simple sophistication, premium leathers and a unique sense of timelessness, at affordable prices and with playful shapes without sacrificing functionality, creating timeless elegance and desirable Parisian style.

Polène’s first design, the “Numéro Un,” is crafted from full-grain calfskin leather, blending curves and pleats, and is hand-stitched by leather artisans in Ubrique, Spain. Polène embodied the epitome of Parisian elegance and immediately went viral on social media around the world. Its unique shape makes it instantly recognizable, and it was later expanded to include Béri, Cyme, Umi and other series. It probably became well-known after the release of the 2020 Netflix series Emily in Paris.

"One of the interesting things about creating new designs is that we never rely on drawings, which are too flat, but you can see our bags from all angles and there is something to express from all angles." Antoine Mothay once said in an interview in the past.

“When you see a Polène leather handbag, it should have a unique structure and shape compared to any other bag you have ever seen.”

Polène’s design studio uses 3D microfiber prototypes, which, unlike 2D drawings, can be easily manipulated to form the shape of the leather. When designing this leather bag, the brand also referred to the daily needs of ordinary working girls. They wanted to create an elegant handbag that could be used from daytime office to evening date, showing the confident and sophisticated side of Parisian women.

It is said that there is always a long queue outside the main store in Paris, and girls on the streets of Paris are holding Polène bags in their hands. Without talking about its value in the luxury market, just looking at its balance in design, positioning, style, durability and other aspects, it is indeed a good choice without losing elegance. No wonder it has become a worldwide famous brand in the past few years.
